In an effort to protect our clients' and site visitors privacy and rights, CastHost has established a Privacy Policy which explains what information we gather on visitors and what we do with information that we gather. This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which CastHost collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users of this Web site (each, a "User").
Users' privacy is very important to CastHost. We are committed to safeguarding the information Users entrust to CastHost.
CastHost collects personally identifiable information from Users through online forms for ordering products and services. We may also collect information about how Users use our Web site, for example, by tracking the number of unique views received by the pages of the Web site or the domains from which Users originate. We use "cookies" to track how Users use our Web site.
CastHost may use personally identifiable information collected through our Web site to contact Users regarding products and services offered by CastHost and its trusted affiliates, independent contractors and business partners, and otherwise to enhance Users' experience with CastHost and such affiliates, independent contractors and business partners. At no time will CastHost's database of users ever be sold to any entity for the purpose of marketing or mailing lists. Personal information will not be sold or otherwise transferred to our business partners without your prior consent, except that we will disclose the information we collect to third parties when, in our good faith judgment, we are obligated to do so under applicable laws
When you connect a Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, or Mastodon account to CastHost through our Social Media Suite, we receive an OAuth access token and basic profile data (name, username, follower count, profile picture) from that platform. We use this data only to display your account information in the CastHost dashboard, publish posts on your behalf when you request it, and retrieve engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares) for posts published through our platform. Access tokens are stored in encrypted form and are never shared with third parties for advertising or profiling. You may disconnect any platform at any time from your dashboard, which immediately revokes our stored token and deletes all cached data for that platform.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data CastHost holds about you, and to request a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email support@casthost.net from your registered address. We will confirm receipt within one business day and complete the request within 30 days, or sooner if required by applicable law (for example, GDPR, PIPEDA, or CCPA). We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Social platform tokens and cached post data are deleted immediately when you disconnect a platform or close your account. Invoices and payment records are retained for up to seven years to satisfy legal and tax obligations. Security and fraud-prevention logs may be retained for up to two years. All other data is deleted within 30 days of an account closure request.
CastHost integrates with Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), Bluesky, and Mastodon to power our Social Media Suite. When you connect these platforms, their respective privacy policies govern how they handle data on their end. We use WHMCS to manage billing; payment and billing data are handled under WHMCS’s privacy practices. We do not sell data to advertisers and do not share your information with third parties beyond what is required to operate the integrations you choose to enable.
CastHost encrypts social media access tokens stored in our databases and transmits all data over HTTPS/TLS. Dashboard access is protected by password authentication and server-side session management. Despite these measures, no online service is entirely risk-free. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law and take appropriate remediation steps.
