What this page covers

This page explains how to delete your CastHost account and any data we store about you, including data we receive when you connect a Facebook, Instagram, or Threads account to your CastHost dashboard. We honour every deletion request, and you do not need a reason to ask.

Option 1 — Disconnect a single social account

If you only want to remove the link between CastHost and one of your social platforms (Facebook page, Instagram business account, or Threads profile), you can do it yourself:

  1. Log in to dashboard.casthost.net.
  2. Open Social Media → Accounts.
  3. Click Disconnect on the platform card you want to unlink.

This immediately revokes the access token and deletes the cached posts, insights, and profile data we stored for that platform. You can also revoke our access directly from Facebook, Instagram, or Threads in their respective Settings → Apps and Websites screens.

Option 2 — Delete your entire CastHost account

To delete your entire CastHost account and every piece of data tied to it (radio configuration, billing records subject to legal retention, social connections, scheduled posts, uploaded media):

  1. Email support@casthost.net from the address on file for your account.
  2. Use the subject line Account Deletion Request.
  3. Include your CastHost username or the email address on the account.

We will confirm receipt within one business day, complete the deletion within 30 days, and send a final confirmation when it is done. If you are in a region with statutory deletion deadlines shorter than 30 days (for example, certain EU member states under GDPR), we will meet that shorter deadline.

What gets deleted

  • Your CastHost account credentials, profile information, and dashboard settings.
  • Every access token CastHost stores for your connected Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, or Mastodon accounts.
  • Cached social posts, insights, comments, and profile data.
  • Scheduled posts not yet published.
  • Uploaded media attached to scheduled or cached posts.
  • Radio configuration, station settings, and uploaded audio (where applicable).

What we may retain

We retain the minimum data required by law — for example, invoices and payment records (typically seven years for tax purposes) and abuse/security logs needed for fraud investigations. These records are not used for any other purpose and are deleted at the end of their statutory retention window.
